Is there an option to download everything in my asset library to my computer?

I made multiple changes in various scenes and I want to test some modules with the new changes locally as I will be offline tomorrow.
Thanks

Hey there

Check out Backing up your assets library locally

All fine and dandy but I do not have the options described in the module configuration settings. See my screenshot below:

Suggestions?

You need to install and enable the Forge module on your local FoundryVTT installation, not your Forge-hosted Foundry world.

The module pulls from the Assets Library and adds it to your local FoundryVTT data folder on your machine, so it needs to run on your machine.

Looks like I am an idiot. And you might be the reason I will subscribe to the Forge’s hosting service. If my speed tests work this weekend I will for sure buy the yearly subscription. Thanks for the 10th time Phi.

Phi, I managed to sync all assets but that does not include configuration of all scenes and all the changes I made on the world, including actors, tokens, macros, etc. How to I grab those configs from Forge to import into my Foundry?

Heya @rombizio
Ah, yeah that’ll be in the world rather than on the assets library.
What you want to do is export a backup of your world (explained here if you get stuck, but you can essentially go to the game configuration page and Export World on the top right Game Tools section).

You want to put that world into your local FoundryVTT data folder under worlds (%LocalAppData%/FoundryVTT/Data/worlds on Windows). Your original world will be in there and you want to replace that with the more recent one (replace, not merge folders). I recommend you cut the original out and zip it up so you have a backup of your original.

Then you can restart Foundry, and it’ll have the latest stuff that you had added back on Forge. Bear in mind, you might need to update modules and stuff locally to the versions you want, modules and module configs don’t get exported along the world since they’re stored separately. But macros, actors, tokens, etc. do.

I did that but none of the new tokens, actors and configuration changes on tiles got updated, just the images and sounds. It seems the “world” folder is just one of the folders I should have that contains the entire set of changes.

It’s possible that you added content into a compendium module rather than the world itself. In that case, you’ll want to check out the second section of that document which explains how to export your compendium modules from Forge Backing Up Your Forge Content

The world contains scenes (which contains tiles), actors, items, etc. You might not see all of the changes if you’re running a different set of modules or different versions of modules, or if they’re installed but not activated in the manage modules interface.
