Multiple Foundry licenses and premium content

Hi,

my friends and I all have Foundry VTT licenses. We are considering buying a story teller or world builder subscription on Forge. From what I’ve read, we can get a single account and assign all of our Foundry licenses to it, so that many games with different people could be run simultaneously. Do I understand it correctly? And can multiple people create worlds on that account, or only the person with credentials to that Forge account?

And my last question - if one person from our group has some premium modules bought on their Foundry VTT account, will there be any issue with that? How is Forge assigning licenses to the world, if multiple are available?

Thanks a lot.

Hi there

Please have a look at Can I share my Forge Account? which I believe will address some of your questions.

From what I’ve read, we can get a single account and assign all of our Foundry licenses to it, so that many games with different people could be run simultaneously.

Different games can be run from the same Forge account provided that you are a player or GM in those different games, and they aren’t being ran at the same time.

And can multiple people create worlds on that account, or only the person with credentials to that Forge account?

The person who owns the account can create new worlds, then invite others and assign them the GM role, letting them run it.

How is Forge assigning licenses to the world, if multiple are available?

The premium content linked to the top/first Foundry license key in the list of license keys is accessible.

Hope that helps!

I’ve read the linked FAQ, however i found a slight discrepancy in it, and the one concerning The Game Manager - here it says that “The Forge’s unique Game Manager feature allows users to access multiple worlds at once if they have more than one license key”, so can multiple worlds be ran at the same time, or not?

Multiple worlds can be accessed at the same time, but the purpose of this is to facilitate players accessing other worlds to update character sheets and the like. The intention is not to allow multiple unrelated sessions to be ran at the same time from a hub account, as that would fall under account sharing which is against ToS.
