Seeking 1–2 New Players

Are you ready to delve into the mysterious depths of the Gauntlight ruins? Do you have the courage to face the horrors lurking in the shadows and uncover the secrets of a long-forgotten curse?

I’m seeking 1-2 new players to join our weekly Pathfinder 2e campaign! We’ve already made some progress, but the adventure is far from over. The current party has reached Belcorra’s Retreat, and danger is lurking at every corner!

We’re looking for:

  • A Rogue would fit well, but any class is welcome. The adventure is about teamwork, creativity, and adapting to challenges.
  • You should be open to roleplay, exploration, and combat.
  • A commitment to showing up regularly (Fridays, 7:30 PM - 10:30 PM CST).

First come, first served—so don’t wait!
If you’re interested, reply to this post or message me directly! Let’s make this adventure unforgettable.

If interested reach out.

Thanks,

GM Eddy.

Eddy’s Gaming Social Contract - v6.2

June 14, 2025

Table Rules & Player Expectations

This contract outlines the social and procedural expectations at my game table. While we’re here to have fun, that fun only happens when everyone understands the boundaries and expectations. As GM, I reserve the exclusive right to modify this contract at any time to support the health and enjoyment of the game.

1. Belonging

Everyone is welcome at this table. We embrace players of all backgrounds, identities, and experiences.

  • Discrimination, harassment, or exclusion of any kind will not be tolerated.

  • This table values respect, open-mindedness, and empathy in both play and conversation.

  • If something happens that makes you feel unwelcome or uncomfortable, please bring it to me privately.

We’re here to tell stories together. Diversity makes those stories richer.

2. Don’t Be a Jerk

Treat everyone at the table with courtesy, respect, and a sense of humor.

  • No stealing from party members or inter-party conflict unless it’s part of a story arc agreed upon by the group.

  • If your actions disrupt the group dynamic, you may be asked to leave.

3. Group Incompatibility

  • If your behavior is consistently disruptive, toxic, or disrespectful, you will be removed from the group. No second chances are guaranteed.

4. Rulings & Disputes

  • The GM’s ruling is final during a session. This keeps things moving.

  • If you disagree, bring it up after the session or via private message.

  • I am imperfect, make mistakes and may be inconsistent and reserve the right to change rulings.

  • House rules may be introduced at any time.

  • Rules discussions should be concise and non-disruptive.

    • Also see 17. Pacing Requests

5. Food & Snacks

  • Minimize loud eating. We love snacks—not chewing sounds.

6. Focus & Crosstalk

  • Socialize before and after sessions or during breaks.

  • Keep memes, jokes, and tangents brief during gameplay.

  • Respect turn order. Don’t interrupt or dominate.

  • Offer ideas, not orders—avoid becoming the “party general.”

7. Attendance

  • Let me know at least one day in advance if you’ll be absent. Same-day notice is better than none.

  • Your character will usually sit out.

  • If half or more of the group is absent, we’ll cancel or run a side session.

  • Group XP rules apply (e.g., PF2e).

8. Treasure & Loot

  • A shared group fund is maintained.

  • No hoarding of treasure, gear, or magic items. Share equitably.

9. Balance & Power Creep

  • To preserve challenge and fairness, I reserve the right to:
    • Adjust/remove funds, items, or boons

    • Modify encounter difficulty

10. Approved Resources

  • All character options must be approved by the GM.
    • If I say “no,” please respect that.

11. Archetypes (PF2e Specific)

  • Extra archetype allowed at character creation in home games.

  • Not allowed in Pathfinder Society-sanctioned games.

12. Group Size

  • Preferred: 4 players

  • Maximum: 6 players

  • Ask before bringing a guest.

13. New Players

  • I maintain a waitlist for interested players.

  • New players will be contacted as spots open.

14. No Politics

  • Keep political views, memes, and posts out of the game and chat.

  • Violations may result in expulsion without warning.

15. Changes to This Contract

  • I reserve the exclusive right to update this contract at any time.

16. Power Gamers

  • If your playstyle prioritizes min-maxing over narrative, balance, and fun, this may not be the right table for you.

17. Pacing Requests

  • Respect my readiness and bandwidth when suggesting new mechanics, classes, or ideas.

  • I’ll review requests in my own time.

18. You Can Leave Anytime

  • You’re free to leave anytime.

  • If you’re not having fun, please let me know.

19. Toxicity

  • I may remove toxic players at my discretion—no warnings required.

20. Copyright & IP Respect

  • I do not distribute paid materials I don’t have rights to share.

  • Legal, free resources may be provided.

  • I hold a Master’s in Library & Information Science and certifications in copyright.

Fair use is not a right—it’s a legal defense.

21. Foundry VTT Disclaimer

  • Foundry isn’t perfect. Glitches and confusion happen.

  • I may pause or retcon as needed.

22. Learning Curve

  • Pathfinder 2e is complex. I’m still learning.

  • Be patient as I juggle rules, narrative, and tech.

23. Safety Tools & Consent (X-Card or Equivalent)

  • Player Comfort: If a topic makes you uncomfortable, speak up—no explanation needed. We’ll pause, pivot, or rewind as needed. Everyone’s comfort matters more than any story beat.
    • Digital X-cards (emotes or private messages) are acceptable for online play.

24. Metagaming & Player Knowledge

  • Separate Player and Character Knowledge: Try not to let what you know as a player influence what your character knows or does. Ask if you’re unsure what your character would reasonably know.

25. PvP (Player vs Player)

  • Player vs Player Conflict: Any PvP (combat, sabotage, etc.) must be approved by the GM and all players involved. No surprises.

26. Character Death and Retirement

  • Character Death or Retirement: This is part of the story. If your character dies or leaves the group, we’ll work together on a smooth transition.
    • Replacement or new characters typically start at the current party level.

27. Between-Session Communication

  • Out-of-Game Communication: We may discuss the game between sessions in group chat. Be respectful of everyone’s time and avoid flooding the channel. Use spoiler tags when necessary.

28. Session Zero

  • Session Zero: We will (or have) used a Session Zero to create characters, review rules, and align expectations. If you’re joining mid-campaign, we’ll set time aside to onboard you.

29. Game Tone & Themes

  • Game Tone: This campaign may include dark themes, horror, political intrigue, or personal trauma. Let me know if anything crosses a line.
  • The default tone is [insert: heroic, gritty, etc.].

30. Player Engagement

  • Engagement: Please be present and attentive during play. Avoid distractions like phone scrolling or multitasking unless it’s urgent or during downtime.

31. Advancement, Downtime, and Leveling Up

  • Leveling Up & Downtime: Level-ups happen at key narrative points. Downtime or sidequests may be possible—please coordinate in advance.

32. Player Spotlight Rotation

  • Everyone will get a chance to shine. If you feel overlooked, speak up—I’ll help weave your character back into the spotlight.

:game_die: Final Thought

This game is a shared space for storytelling, creativity, and fun. Help protect that space by being respectful, present, and open-minded.

Let’s roll some dice and make something memorable.

:scroll: Change Log (v6.0 → v6.2)

  • v6.1: Incorporated extended player expectations including safety tools (X-Card), PvP consent, spotlight sharing, session zero practices, and communication etiquette.

  • v6.2: Added Section 1: “Belonging” as the new opening rule. All sections renumbered accordingly.

hello, i have an interesting character, he is a zombie, the only thing that would be different is that potions do opposite effects on him, (or not if you don’t like it) he is an alchemist and his name is Zevik Duskgrave

Sorry. I am probably not the right GM for you.
If you heal via void healing the Cleric will injure your character in practically every encounter with his area effect healing. I’m sticking to the traditional player characters available in the player core and player core 2.
