I’m having a strange issue with PF2e compendiums on Forge after updating Foundry VTT to the latest version.
I have two PF2e worlds, Grayce and Rise. The first world I open loads the PF2e compendiums correctly. But if I open the second world afterwards, the PF2e compendium packs appear, but they are empty, and the Compendium Browser shows nothing.
If I close everything, suspend the server, and open the worlds in the opposite order, the first one opened works and the second one has empty compendiums.
So it looks like only the first PF2e world opened can access the system compendiums.
I already tried reinstalling the PF2e system, creating fresh worlds, and testing with no modules enabled, but the issue still happens.
Has anyone seen this before or knows how to fix it? Could this be a Forge cache/storage issue after the Foundry update?
Hey there, I believe I replied to your email earlier, but I’ll post the reply here as well for posterity sake.
The issue you’re describing is a familiar one. That is to say, this is a v14 Foundry specific issue that the Forge is currently tackling, and it is the main reason v14 is not yet a recommended upgrade on the Forge.
The issue itself is complex, and we don’t have a firm ETA on the fix. However, there is a workaround of sorts for users that intend to stay on v14. To put it very simply, the issue manifests only when there are multiple game servers running at the same time, so the workaround is to have all other game servers that are not in use, to be fully stopped.
We realize there are many awesome changes to the PF2E game system with v14, so we apologize for the inconvenience.
We will surely make an announcement once the v14 is a recommended build on the Forge.
