[Other][Foundry+Discord] Roaring Currents - A Feudal Japanese Game Set In Sengoku Jidai

Gamemasters

:crossed_swords: Game System:
The system we are using is Senshi and it is a homemade system of my own creation. DTRPG link for info . I’ve also implemented a low-magic expansion to it that has not been released yet officially but is Foundry-ready and is already implemented. I have made custom sheets for the game in Foundry using CSB (they’re not the best but they do the job).

:calendar: When do you play:
We play on Sundays at 9pm CET. The game has been running on this timeline for the past half a year and will most likely continue to do so 2025-03-30T19:00:00Z

The games usually run 3-5 hours with 4 hours on average.

:scroll: Brief Description of the game/setting/premise:
The game is set in feudal Japan in 1575 and it, was until recently, a hard setting. I’ve since implemented a low-magic system based on authentic Japanese folklore. The party is currently playing a group of Japanese pirates led by an English exiled captain from the West. They have since established their own pirate fort and are seeking adventures all over Japan. I’m also layering a sort of meta-plot over the whole thing which also involves esoteric magic to a small degree.

The game features a fairly realistic combat setting so expect to hit hard and be hit hard. Please note, that death is not uncommon in this game, which is why it also features a lineage system so that relatives of the dead character can take their place if they die. Don’t join this game if you are too attached to any character you make.

:memo: Additional Details:
We use Foundry for playing the game and Discord for communication. All of the game’s resources (including the Rulebook) can be accessed in-game through .pdf journals.

What we are looking for:
The group has been comprised of 3 players for the majority of the campaign and we are now on session 21. We are looking for one (maybe two) player(s) to fill in the gap in the party.

Please provide:

  1. :feather:Your country (or at least timezone).
  2. :feather:Age.
  3. :feather:Experience with TTRPGs in general (the system is easy to learn for newcomers).
  4. :feather:Your fondest memory from a TTRPG (humorous stories are a bonus).
