We are looking for new players to fill up our current roster.
The campaign has been ongoing for over 4 years by now and both gained and lost some players over time. For the “final” stretch, we would love to welcome new companions that are eager to dive into a relatively complex story with a wide cast of characters and background. Although some experience with either the mechanics of Mythras or the fluff of the Forgotten Realms would be very useful, it is not a mandatory requirement. Gameplay rules can be learned and a lack of in-game world knowledge can be baked into any new character. Since the campaign has been ongoing for so long, there is quite a lot of already transpired story to cover anyways, and the DM would gladly help anyone to provide everything needed and create new characters that fit into the campaign.
Accordingly, any interested players should definitely bring the necessary time, dedication and interest with them. There is a lot to “learn”, but it also comes with the freedom to create a detailed character with authentic depth and have them build relations, develop their personality and create something larger for themselves during the campaign. Since the narrative revolves around “darker” and partially ideological/political themes, a certain maturity and serious approach is also expected; we aim to have fun and a good time, of course, but the campaign itself revolves around a more serious atmosphere.
Regular attendance each week and enough time and activity to read and reply to various texts inbetween sessions are also expected. The campaign will continue for at least another year and a half, so you should be willing and able to invest and commit at least these 6 hours each week for some time to come.
What you get in return is a complex and elaborate story that has been built up over several years with over 200 NPCs and an engaging story, custom and regularly updated playlists, many individual self-made maps as well as the freedom and support to create and develop a sophisticated player character. Gameplay-wise, the split between roleplaying, adventure/exploration and combat is around 60/15/25. If everything seems to click and you are willing and ready to join the game, I’ll gladly help you with creating the character, discuss any possibilities, distribute relevant resources and help with whatever requires assistance.
