Title post. I’m looking for a group I can join so I can play Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition (2014 only; I reeeealy don’t like the 2024 rules).
I’m available any day from 5 pm - 11 pm EST and am willing to play either an officially published adventure or (especially) a homebrew campaign. I’d ideally like to play as a Paladin, but I’m willing to play any class that can fill a role needed by the group. The game doesn’t have to be free-to-play, but anything over $15 is out of the question. I’m almost 32 years old, so I’d prefer to play with people within that age group. Finally, I use to talk, and I won’t share my screen unless it’s to share a problem with the game on my end.

Hello there! I have a Vecna: Eve of Ruin campaign I am about to begin and looking to fill slots. We play on Friday nights between 6-10pm CST (7-11 EST). We run DnD 5E(2014). Player creation is done on DnD Beyond with my shared content and then I import the characters into Foundry. Sessions are run in Discord VC on our dnd server and it is $12 per session.
I have 2 returning players who just finished running Phandelver and Below so the campaign will be starting at the campaign starting level of 11. The two returning players are veteran players one is about your age, I think, and one is a little older. They will be continuing with their Phandelver and Below characters which are a dwarf wizard and a firebolg Cleric with their inventory intact so for your character creation I would give comparable inventory to match a character at their experience level. We will also be running the companion one shot that acts as the prelude to the campaign.

Anyway, as fun as that sounds, I’m going to have to decline. Without getting too into it and oversharing, I have a bad history with Eve of Ruin, and I’d like to avoid playing that (as well as Curse of Strahd) if I can help it.
Completely understandable on both the vibe of those campaigns and the missed notification as I seem to have missed mine as well. I do have an ongoing Wild Beyond the Witchlight through startplaying as well. They are currently at level 3, fixing to be 4 (campaign goes to 8). Fun beginner friendly fey wild adventure. Currently have 3 players for it as we just lost our 4th due to personal reasons. The listing price is 20 but given that it is an in progress campaign which are harder to fill, I can discount it down to 15 for you with a free first session so you can get a feel of the group vibe if you are interested.
