looking for a player to join an already ongoing game. the party is level 6 currently and about to finish chapter I of the current campaign story. we play on Thursday of each week 6-10 est and go over only a little bit every now and then based on the session but never a of the way amount of time if so, and the game is more rp than combat I’d say but still has a fair amount of combat as long as it pertains to the story and makes sense. any players joining must be open to trying to do good in the world and can be any neutral or good aligned character.
the campaign is set in my own world with my own lore which I do constantly work to improve. we have 3 players with an on off guest and run a 5e 2014 system game with some elements from 5e '24 if it makes sense or betters the game by dms rule with player input. the campaign is heavy on story and less free roaming that still allows the players to explore the locations they visit.
if you are interested feel free to reply to this post or PM me directly with interest. I do have a 3 session rule that allows the new player to decide after 3 sessions if they wish to continue but also allows the current players to decide if they would like to keep you in the campaign. this gives a good chance to get the feel of how the game is run and played. more information can be revealed to those who are interested.
The original premise of the campaign

Orion, a world hanging on by a thinning rope. Darkness clings onto the world, strangling it, suffocating it. It, for the most part, knows constant conflict. Countries on the border of war against each other, Disease spreading in the dark recesses of the world, and occultists practicing their dark and heretical ways. These are just some of the hands that grip upon Orion.

The biggest taint that envelops Orion is the Shadow. An ever looming and corrupting presence it is. Corrupting the hearts of men, driving the sanity of others, tempting power to those who desire, and even infecting the blood of some unlucky few. It clings to everything like a putrid stench, and threatens to drag every last bit of the world into chaos.

Some few stand against it however. In its dark campaign to snuff the candles of life, light, and lasting hope. Brave heroes, unsullied organizations, and some but few kingdoms fight against this darkness. Routing out heretics, plague bearers, dark occultists, and agents of shadow. Though, however hard they try, darkness seeps into the hearts of men and threatens to snuff these candles once and for all. Hope, however small, still remains and can oft be found in the most unlikely of all places. And with the unlikely of all who would keep those candles lit.

On the matter that is Sculia. Sculia is one of the three Kingdoms upon the Main Continent of Orion. It is led by the Holy Council hosted in Dongo. Each keeping a Holy Chancellor from five Prime Religions. Guiding and instructing the kingdom to what it hopes will save the World of Orion.

They are aided in this by The Inquisition of Sculia. Both feared and respected by the Kingdom and those that walk its lands. Rooting out the shadow and darkness that creep amongst every corner. “The Flickering Candle”, they are known as and spoken of in hushed whispers by those not of it. They act in both presence and shadow, bringing a calming peace to their allies and friends, and a paranoia and fear to their foes

Our story, however, takes place in a small village named Trulorn, on this, the day of Ich 19, 340 AI, After Inviktus, in this the Second Era of Orion. A place so small, you wouldn’t find it on most maps. Where its villagers live their lives tending to their gardens or small farm, or maybe tending to what few beasts they have. Mostly a mix of the Humans of Sculia with a few half-breeds and half-kin, but as I said, mostly Humans of Sculia, of Dongo and of Biech.

Three unsuspecting Humans of this Village are truly unaware of their place in our story. Living a simple enough life and contributing in a simple enough way. Unassuming and tucked away in the most unlikely of places. But the calloused and aged hands of our Lady History is always recording her deep and curious Lores. And in this, the most unlikely of all places, hope can still be found.
