I’m a relatively new DM running a Sci-Fi campaign using the Hyperlanes rulebook, which is a conversion of D&D 5E rules. The mechanics are mostly identical, with some re-flavored elements: for example, “Gambits” replace spells, and class names are different but follow familiar mechanics (e.g., Genius is based on Wizard, Outlaw on Rogue, etc.).
We’ve been playing for a little over a year, but one of our players recently had to step out, so I’m looking for a replacement. Our current players come from an established Discord community, but I’m opening it up to see if anyone else is interested in joining.
Campaign Setting: The universe is based on Stellaris, though players don’t control empires like in the game. Instead, they function as adventurers exploring the galaxy, encountering unique species and civilizations. Each player either created their species and empire at the start or used existing options from the Hyperlanes rulebook. If you’re interested, I can work with you to create a unique race or help integrate one into the setting.

The campaign has been going for a little over a year, one of my players recently had to bow out so I am looking to replace them. All the players come from our existing discord community but I figured I would post here to see if I can get any interest.
World Background: The universe was created using Stellaris as a backdrop, each player that was in the campaign initially created their species and empire but do not control or anything like they would in the game. The party functions as adventurers like you would in DND except flying around the galaxy. There are multiple unique races in the galaxy to pick from or with the help of the Hyperlanes rulebook you can create your own and I can easily find figure out how your exists.
We use a gaming community discord I am apart of and discord voice, that is all you need.
