The settlement of Swordbreak is located near the ruins of a fortress that once stood as a symbol of justice throughout the land. This fortress watches over the Shadow Rift, a dark chasm in the terrain that served as an entrance to the Shadow realm but has been dormant for 300 years. Presently, a malevolent cleric devoted to a Demon lord of the Undead is attempting to reactivate the portal, and only a small yet resolute group of heroes from Swordbreak stands in his way.
