I was working on my game as normal, needed to head off for a bit and instead of letting the server timeout, returned to setup. Little did I know, the game never returned to setup and just remained in loading even after I returned some three hours later. Image linked, no error codes, no nothing.
On top of that, I exited the page, stopped the server manually, turned it back on and joined to get the exact same thing. Now it’s stuck permanently. Foundry is now just forever loading, didn’t even get to the setup panel.
Hi there, this is quite odd circumstance but it could’ve been caused by a module, does starting the world with Safe Configuration enabled help load into the game?
I have no modules enabled on the world I want to open. I can’t even load into the section where I choose what game world to open. Loading the server itself on Forge doesn’t even get me past the initial loading screen that gets me into the setup menu that allows me to make new worlds, choose worlds, or add/remove systems and modules.
Can you please try loading into your world again but have a browser console (F12) enabled while doing so, do you see any errors highlighted in red? If so please share screenshots.
This could be caused by server caching issue, so another thing to try would be clone this world and see if the clone loads properly.
I logged in and the problem seems to have fixed itself? No idea how, as for cloning the world to load it. My issue was never with a world in particular, it was the fact that when I started my server, the server never progressed from the loading screen to the screen where I can choose my world I want to open.
With that said, I opened it yesterday to see the same issue before seeing this reply. I should have screenshotted the two errors that were there at the time. Because even if the issue might be ‘fixed’ for me, it could’ve been useful for your needs as a ‘this has happened before’ type thing.
