Display/Menu Issues Making Forge Unusable for me

Hey all! For the past few weeks, when I try to launch a game in Forge I get a bunch of weird display bugs. The biggest ones:

  • Menu tabs all displaying on top of each other on the right
  • Chat impossible to view
  • Weird black box floating on top of the screen (I can’t move/close it)

We’ve just been doing theater of the mind recently, but I really need to start using Forge again. I’ve tried launching in safe mode and multiple browsers. When I use forge to play in my friend’s game everything is fine; this is an issue with games I host. Any ideas on fixing this?

Have you tried updating your game systems to latest available version?
Also does this issue happen with Safe Configuration enabled?

Hello,

I am experiencing this same issue. I just updated my game systems to the latest available versions, and the issue is happening with safe configuration enabled. I have tried disabling all my modules, and it doesn’t appear to have changed anything.

Hey there, this sounds like it could be issue with the game system update. If you roll back to the previous version, does the issue go away?

Can you let us known which game system and versions are in play here?

Hey Akifsm,

I’m having the same issue. I just updated to v14.369 from v12. I have no idea how to go back to an older build, so any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

My bad - I solved it by updating all of my modules in My Bazaar. Apologies for not reading the guide on updating before posting. How to update Foundry VTT on The Forge
