For the past 2 weeks on Monday night, I have not been able to access Forge at all. From the same device and location, I will edit things in Foundry via Forge around 6:00 PM EST with no connectivity issues at all. When it reaches gametime at 9:00 PM EST, the site is inaccessible. Sometimes it is stuck forever on a white screen loading before it can ever reach Forge or Foundry. Sometimes it gets to the “Cloudfare Error 520” screen. I thought it was a one-off last week, but it happened again this week.
I have tried using different browsers with no luck. But here’s the weird part… I use OBS to record my sessions and it doesn’t have any trouble reaching the game link at that same time and usually hops straight in. I am not using a VPN.
Has anyone experienced this? If so, have you figured out how to fix it?
I’m deeply sorry you’re getting impacted by this routing issue we’re seeing. Unfortunately use of VPN is our current recommended workaround to this problem. If you’re receiving a Cloudflare page error, please screenshot and share the page in question, including both the error number and RAY id at the bottom of the page. We are using these to help interface and track down the problem alongside Cloudflare.
I’ve been having the same issue. It worked for me last night, but not tonight or Tuesday.
I have tried both with and without a VPN. With the VPN, I haven’t gotten in yet, but it is getting my games to show up within one minute, so I’ll keep trying.
I just got in, finally. It took several attempts with VPN, multiple timeouts, another error page and about 30 minutes. Now it’s saying “An unknown error occurred trying to access Forge API” across the top. Hopefully, we can still play.
I could access it this morning fine. Trying to get on now and it’s not working. Trying to use a VPN and connect straight… nothing. Kinda defeats the purpose of paying for a service that doesn’t work the only time I need it to. Thankfully I don’t have game night tonight. I set up a Molten account with their 7-day free trial and will be seeing how that works this coming Monday night. If there are no issues, I might be canceling my subscription with Forge. Molten was actually really easy to set up.
