In which the players portray Trauma Team-associated characters in Night City of 2045.
Time to show that, in the city of big dreams, gratuitous violence and corporate greed, you don’t need to be an ‘Edgerunner’ to live on the Edge.
Welcome to the first (maybe not the only?) season called Incision.
PARTY SIZE AND AVAILABILITY: Looking for 2 extra players that are willing to commit ~2-2.5 hours of their time (I already have 3 players).
CAMPAIGN LENGTH: I am aiming for around 10-12 sessions (at least for this starting Season, more details below), not counting the character and party creation, and willing to go a bit longer if there will be a need to wrap something up, for example a combat sequence or a particular plot point.
GAMETIME: Saturdays, 7pm, GMT+1 (I am aiming for the game’s start to be at the end of May / beginning of June)
WHAT’S THIS ABOUT ‘SEASON’, DM?: My main objective for this campaign is to gain experience in running the system and let you play it while we operate in the environment of Foundry / Forge. Because many things may not work (notes below will mention that), I do not wish to commit to a longer game. The way I see it, when we reach the Season’s end (assuming we do…), there will be a finite number of results in front of us:
- We like the system and the concept, so we keep playing the Trauma Team party.
- We like the system, but not the concept, so we switch to a more usual Cyberpunk party.
- We don’t like the system, so the concept doesn’t matter, and leave Cyberpunk RED alone.
Time will tell.ADDITIONAL NOTES:
-Barring a few exceptions, the character creation process will follow either Streetrats (Templates) or Edgerunners (Fast and Dirty) methods. We won’t be using the Complete Packages (Calculated) method.
-One of those exceptions, and this is IMPORTANT, is that the Nomad and Netrunner role are PROHIBITED / BANNED. For this Season, at the very least, I have no interest in figuring out the rules and mechanics for Netrunning (which is Netrunner’s main thing) or Vehicle Combat (which is Nomad’s main thing).
-Now that I think about it, should anyone need it, I am willing to provide the link to Core’s (or other books if need be) PDF via a private message.
-We are playing on Forge/Foundry, but bear in mind we will be using Version 12 (as the system has not been updated to either V13 or V14). I think most stuff should work, but expect there might be bugs or glitches. Apologies and thank you for your understanding.
-As usual for my campaigns, Session 0 will handle the usual question of “do we want to play the game or tell the story?” in regards to potential character death. Or lack of, if we decide to go that way.
-Driver/mission control role will be handled by an NPC (Robby ‘Doc’ Mitchells, writing it down so I don’t forget it).
-Random tangent, sorry, couldn’t figure out any italics intro in the style of my previous campaignsFeel free to ask questions
ADDENDUM: THE GAME IS NOW FULL!
