I have been looking at forums recommending the now defunct Jitsi module for A/V integration free of charge. Is there currently a free alternative to Jitsi?
Yes, I found the best possible solution. You will love it. It requires becoming a Patreon of “At the Tavern” but audio and video are exceptional.

I know that you asked for free of charge, but that is probably not a feasible expectation, as there is a cost for a service to provide this capability.
