GM Looking for first-time players for D&D 2024
Game System: D&D 2024 Free Rules.
Game Tools: Discord (voice), D&D Beyond (not required), and browser to access Foundry-VTT on Forge.
Game Night: Wednesdays at 7:00pm - 10:30pm EDT [UTC-5]
Session duration: 3.5-hours, including a short break.
Campaign duration: Approximately 15 session (4 months). Opportunity to continue at end).

Session Zero: September 18, 2024.
Description of setting: High fantasy and high magic. PG-13. It takes place in a modified version of the Forgotten Realms. You will start in what is left of the city of Neverwinter, which was nearly destroyed by a volcanic eruption 50 years ago and then invaded, looted, and abandoned by an army of Orcs 10 years ago. Rebuilding efforts started one year ago, which is why your characters have gone there now looking for work.
My rough estimate of how time is spent in-game is: 20% Social Interactions, 30% Exploration, and 50% Combat.
Character creation: We will keep it simple: Class- Fighter, cleric, rogue, or wizard. Species- Dwarf, elf, halfling, or human. Background- Acolyte, criminal, sage, or soldier. Standard array for stats (15,14,13,12,10,8). Start at level 1 with standard gear, but down to your last gold piece and looking for work. It is not necessary to use a ‘character voice’ or accent, but you can if you want.
About me: I started playing and GMing TTRPGs over 40 years ago (AD&D, Gamma World, Champions, etc.). I enjoy modifying existing modules, creating original adventures, and incorporating aspects of your PC backgrounds into the game world. I only use character voices and accents when an NPC first speaks and not usually for more than a few sentences of dialogue.
