Issues accessing the server while on the same network?

Most of my players can access the forge’s instance of my foundry instance. But one thing I notice is that my wife, using a laptop in another room, always has it basically refuse to connect. The web page comes up but the foundry instance never seems to load. It just shows a blank screen forever with no error messages or other helpful debug of any kind.

So a few questions.

  1. Has anyone else had this happen to them? Or is this just me?
  2. Is this likely an issue with the laptop or (as I suspect) an issue with 2 machines on the same network?
  3. How do I fix this :-P?

Had the same thing happen. I just refreshed the browser and it immediately came up.

  1. Yes :wink: But it can be a plethora of different reasons for this, so we will do some troubleshooting.

  2. Most likely not, you can be as many computers on the same internet as you want.

  3. So, I would check the Chrome version first of all, see if the laptop has a older version of Chrome.
    Check that the browser used is supported (firefox, chrome, newest edge.).
